The National Cancer Institute (NCI), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is committed to forging scientific partnerships with industry, academia and nonprofit organizations to accelerate the pace of medical research and the application of that knowledge to improve the Nation’s health.
These scientific partnerships benefit the NIH laboratories and the partnering outside organizations by making personnel, services, facilities, expertise, material, and equipment accessible to both partners.
The Technology Transfer Center merges scientific inquiry with commercial development through services including:

- Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA)
- Collaboration Agreements (C-MTA)
- Clinical Trial Agreements (CTA)
- Cooperative Research and Development (CRADA)
- Marketing and promoting technology
- NIH technologies available for collaboration and licensing (TTC website)
- NIH licensees and NIH SBIR/STTR awardees can showcase technology on the NIH Office of Technology Transfer’s Pipeline to Partnerships website http://ott.od.nih.gov/p2p/index.aspx
- Intellectual property advice to NIH investigators to maintain the commercial viability of NIH technologies
